  1. He's a great professor and the subject matter was quite interesting. I think anyone interested in the history of ancient cultures and their development should take this class.
  2. Fitszimons has a reputation of being an easy grader and teaching easy courses, both of which turned out to be true. What surprised me is that I also learned a lot from this class. ?ou can get away with out doing the readings fine, but they are very interesting and usually primary sources from the conquest. I did the course for CW and the work load was totally manageable, 3 response papers and 2 exams that lasted an hour and an extra resource paper for CW. Take this class if you are into the Aztecs or because you want something to balance out some hard/demanding courses. Labs consisted of throwing spears and star-gazing.
