  1. Laurie Essig is a brilliant professor with a knack for leading thought-provoking discussions and guiding students without seeming condescending. Every reading assigned was integral to the progress of the course and nearly every one blew my mind. Highly recommend this class to anybody with even a slight desire to understand society and themselves on a deeper level.
