Evaluation Comments for Essig, L

  1. Professor Essig is very nice and hosts a great class. However, for the purposes of your GPA, do not take a class with her unless you are very interested in the subject or a sociology major. She assigns no work the whole semester other than a final project. The final paper is only 30% of your grade. She gives not very helpful advice on the rough draft and if she doesn't agree with your final points, she will give you a terrible grade on the paper. Despite the syllabus grading rubric, even if you have a 100 in everything else, she will give you a final grade similar to your paper grade. Overall, the class gives off a joke vibe and she acts like she doesn't care but potentially will screw you over in the end.
