Evaluation Comments for Reed, C

  1. Professor Reed is a really engaging, interesting and fun teacher. While discussions were extremely interesting, I found some of the works we read a little dull. However, reading Monkey made up for all of the less interesting reading. The class is definitely worth taking just to read it with Prof Reed because she is so passionate about it. All of the papers except for the last one had to be rewritten (and the grades of each were averaged to get the final grade) which was really nice and really helped me improve my writing.)
  2. class discussions were lively, the professor was thrilled to be in class everyday, perfect amount of work to keep you engaged and still on top of things, almost all the readings were enthralling, the professor was kind and flexible...I could go on and on. Exemplary course.
  3. Carrie Reed is an invaluable element for anyone studying Chinese at Middlebury. She is energetic, fun and very passionate. We had amazing, very engaging discussions in this course and she was always available to help outside the classroom. It was definitely my favorite class this semester!
