Evaluation Comments for LaBrada, E.

  1. Professor LaBrada is young and enthusiastic. Nevertheless, he has a good sense of class dynamics and occasional humor which he employs in organizing a class that presents itself not as mundane as language courses tend to be. There are, however, techniques which becomes noticeable and due to their repetitiveness start exciting less. However, that is going to be the case with almost any other class anywhere since there are educational traditions which are, of course, limiting of creativity and initiative. The French beginning class is organized around Carpetz's French in Action with its method of immersion and a little bit of drama that runs as a thread throughout all the classes. The drama, even though it is not as great as it could have been, activates a lot of feelings and senses, which eventually assist the learning with provoking interest. If you are interested in learning the French Language, this class is where you must start and Professor LaBrada is highly recommended.
