  2. 103 was an interesting course, for it was not as difficult as I thought it would be. You have to motivate yourself to study, because the exams and homework are pretty easy and don't take up enough of your time to ensure that you are using Russian on a regular basis. That said, it was still a hilarious/ridiculous/fantastic experience that I'm learning is indicative of all things Russian. Continue with 103: you won't regret it!
  3. Completely agree with the above commenter. I expected second-semester Russian to be a lot harder than it ended up being. Moss and Beyer split the class the year I took it and Moss was the one who really challenged us with new grammar, while Beyer by no means let us coast but still seemed more easy-going than he had been first semester. Of course, first-year Russian is a formative experience and this class was a continuation of that, so I'd highly recommend it.
  4. Look at the page about Russian I if you're looking for more reviews. Second semester Russian gets a bit harder, though it still has the standard structure. I felt like the grading was harder but that could be different for others. If you start Russian in the fall I would definitely keep on taking it in the spring.
