  4. I would be surprised if there is an easier course offered anywhere. You don't have to show up for class, the quizzes are extremely easy even if you've only glanced at the workbook, and when people do badly on quizzes they are allowed to redo them. Prof. Vitercik is a really nice guy who seems really excited about the material, but no one can make a month-long discussion about key signatures interesting.
  5. I've taken music history classes with Vitercik, and he's a hoot. It's great to hear him just rant about composers. With music theory, however, his tangential teaching style and lack of structure made it difficult for a lot of students. I found it easy because I had learnt much of the stuff before, but for students starting music theory from scratch, I'd recommend another professor.
