Evaluation Comments for Skubikowski

  1. There are so many excellent professors in the Italian department that it is not worth taking any of your courses with Skubes...
  2. Professort Skubikowski knows a lot about Italy in general, that's for sure. However, his rather abrasive style in the classroom makes it very difficult to pick up the nitty-gritty gramatical ideas. Classtime is spent too much on nonsequiter information, and not enough on learning the material we were ultimately held responsible for. Class will be very funny and you will learn all sorts of inane expressions, but the actual grammatical foundation you need in first year just won't exist.
  3. Skubikowski is a funny guy. I don't think we learned all of the grammar quite as well as some of the people in the other classes, but we definitely learned what we needed to know and a lot about culture. We had lots of fun- we did a lot of role plays and he always had props for us to use.
  4. Take different Intro teacher
  5. Skubi is crazy. He's not impossible, but not to be sought out.
