  4. Too much to read, you don't analyze it all in class and much of it is unuseful. The guy is really sttuborn and doesn't like alternative points of view.
  5. International Politics was pretty basic stuff, so not the most exciting, but I suppose necessary foundations for further study of politics. Most of the course focused on the different theories of IR (i.e. realism, institutionalism, constructivism). Phelan really is a nice guy, and knows his stuff, but he's kind of distant unless you engage him. Also, his discussion sections are a little strange, he doesn't moderate discussion very much, so at times it feels like you're not getting everything out of them as you could if he piped in a little more.
  6. Phelan picks favourites and his discussion sucks he always make some poor student lead the discussion rather than himslef as he is paid to do. his lectures are really boring and he is obssesed with his international whaling commision
  7. Way too much reading!
