Evaluation Comments for Saldarriaga P

  1. It's a good course and you get a good feel for Spanish literature, and the work load is not too heavy. Prof Saldarriaga is also very nice.
  2. Good course, great professor! Patricia is very approachable and passionate about teaching. No exams, a few short quizzes. Hardest struggle was staying awake at 8:00 am.
  3. Patricia is a wonderful professor and mentor--she is mostly interested with expanding your educational outlook, without making her quizzes and papers at all difficult. She is wonderfully nice, and I would definitely take another class with her.
  4. This class is fairly easy, but honestly I wouldn't take it if you don't have to. I took it because I thought higher level lit classes would be difficult without this course, but I don't think this class really provided a necessary foundation. Patricia is great though and I would definitely take another class with her.
  5. Patricia is amazing, the course pieces are interesting but the theory is a little dull. The professor really makes this course, she's a very warm person and a great teacher.
  6. Saldarriaga is a softee, yet she remains fairly interesting - perhaps the 9:00AM thing made it tougher than it should be to be in class and be aware of your surroundings before coffee. Seriously though, she is a wonderful woman who is approachable in her office, is energetic and always smiling, and seems more like a human than a professor. While there are no unannounced quizzes or tests, doing the reading nightly is essential. Work is really minimal - aside from the end with a paper and halfway through with another paper; expect to do two hours tops weekly of work. No exam.
